From The Workshop

Two Beautiful New Boxes Are Available From The Workshop Throughout November and December 2018:  The Burr Walnut Jewel And The Bog Oak Cufflink Box

The Burr Walnut Jewel: A luxury Handmade Jewellery Box

The Burr Walnut Jewel combines the dramatic figuring of Burr Walnut with the clean elegant lines found throughout Edward’s Furniture.

The Burr Walnut wraps around the box on both the inside and outside and is framed with ancient 5300 year old Bog Oak string lines.   The box is lined with Rippled Sycamore which contrasts with the dark exterior of the box.  Inside is a  Sycamore, Walnut and Suede tray which floats gently back into place.  The lid also closes softly on a bed of air.  The box is finished with over 100 coats of Hand applied French polish and a final coat of beeswax.

This new edition to Edwards' Luxury Jewel range of jewellery and cufflink boxes has been made using 5300 year old English Bog Oak with its deep rich colour.  The dramatic grain and colour found in this ancient wood is shown off on the box lid with a detailed raised oval panel.  The box is lined with rippled Sycamore, with a Bog Oak, suede and Sycamore tray, divided into many separate compartments each lined in suede.
